Research Interests

I began work in the Spatial Ecology Lab at the University of Alaska Fairbanks, Institute of Arctic Biology, Department of Biology and Wildlife in November of 2006. I am currently a post-doctoral research scientist under the sponsorship of Dr. A. David McGuire and funded under the NSF Arctic Carbon Research Synthesis Project. My primary focus under this multi-disciplinary and collaborative project is to study the effects of disturbances, both natural and anthropogenic, on process-based model assessments of the arctic system terrestrial carbon cycle.

Generally, my research interests include:

  • Terrestrial Ecosystem Science
  • Ecosystem Modeling
  • Arctic System Carbon Cycle
  • Remote Sensing and Spatial Analysis
  • Land Cover and Land Use Change
  • Tropical Forests
